Help for Haiti

I haven't been good about keeping this blog updated in a while, since my pregnancy and birth of my baby, but oh well! :)

Haiti has been hit hard this week, our thoughts and prayers are with them. Things have been really on our heart as a family since we have family members from Haiti. 13 years ago God blessed our family with twins from Haiti. I was almost 18 at the time, so there is a big gap in siblings in our family! The twins, Anna and Austin are now 13 years old. Their mother died in childbirth, and their father wanted to keep them, but it is so improvised there, he knew they would have a chance of life somewhere else, so he gave them up. At the time of their birth there was a mission team there from the states, so that is how we heard of their birth ans were able to adopt them. The doctor that delivered them, Dr Markee, still does mission work there and left 2 days ago for Haiti to help there. Please pray for him and his wife, Linda.

Please pray also for the twins father, who we have some contact with (through the Markee's) His village was just north of Port-au-Prince. We are hoping we can get word from the Markee's.

The children's home that the twins are adopted from is very unique, they are very small, and have one adult to 1-2 children. It is a very loving christian environment. There children's home is looking for donations so that they can rebuild. I like the idea of giving to them, because someone needs to help the people of Haiti rebuild there city. Please give if you can.
Check out their blog, they are keeping it updated.
